Smart Occupancy in daily life

The faculty of Project Development and Management at the Technical University Vienna in cooperation with IPRE, has closed another successful semester in February.

Our course “Project development” for Bachelor students was dealing with daily practical problems. Their submitted work had to focus on the following motto: “Don’t talk about it, do it!”

Short videos are functioning as practical work summaries. The students had available video production tutorial by Alex Rieck (VBLOGKS) within the courses. As a result, we can proudly present many great final works in video form dealing with multiple space use in Vienna. They are available on our Smart Occupancy Youtube channel or immediately here after the article.

In the frame of “Steering Urban Development by Projects” we partnered up with the Austria Center Vienna (ACV) and their public-private mixed-use, congress space utilization project: danubeSail. The Master students were able to visit the construction site in October and have a glimpse in the daily business of the congress center to understand every aspect of the projects. Further on, they have tested some of the NOOK mobile co-working booths and were able to submit their own Smart Occupancy, space optimization or additional co-working ideas for some not-well used common areas.

In the future we hope for many more cooperation topics, motivated students, great presentations and results!
