Symposium: THE FUTURE OF THE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES IN THE AGE OF AI AND IP 16. Januar 2026 | Kuppelsaal, TU Wien
Künstliche Intelligenz verändert kreative Praxis, Bildung und architektonisches Entwerfen in rasanter Geschwindigkeit. Generative KI ermöglicht die Erzeugung und Abstraktion von Bildern, Texten und Stilen und eröffnet neue kreative und wirtschaftliche Potenziale, stellt jedoch zugleich grundlegende Fragen zu Urheberschaft, Copyright und geistigem Eigentum.
Das Symposium beleuchtet, wie KI in die Kreativwirtschaft Einzug hält – mit einem Fokus auf Bildende Kunst, Literatur und Architektur. Im Mittelpunkt stehen reale Anwendungsbeispiele, neue Geschäftsmodelle, rechtliche Rahmenbedingungen sowie Bildungsstrategien. Ein Impulsvortrag von Kris Kashtanova, Pionierin im Bereich KI-generierter Kunst und IP-Recht, sowie eine abschließende Podiumsdiskussion rahmen die Veranstaltung.

Artificial intelligence is reshaping creative practice, education and architectural design at unprecedented speed. Generative AI enables the production and abstraction of images, texts and styles, opening new creative and economic opportunities while raising fundamental questions around authorship, copyright and intellectual property.
This symposium explores how AI is entering the creative industries, with a focus on fine arts, literature and architecture. It addresses real-world applications, emerging business models, legal frameworks and educational strategies. A keynote by Kris Kashtanova, a pioneer in AI-generated art and IP law, and a concluding panel discussion frame the event.
