Institute of Property Research

The 20th ERES Education Seminar will take place on 6th and 7th December 2024 at the Vienna University of Technology. IPRE is organising this event together with the Research Unit Real Estate Development and Project Management  (TU Viennsa) and BCE Beyond Carbon Energy Holding GmbH. This year’s seminar will focus on the topic of ‘Learning and the Built Environment’. The aim of the event is to provide a platform for academic and professional exchange on critical issues related to property and property education.

    Call for Contributions:

    The seminar welcomes contributions that address the following topics:

    • The shift from teaching to learning – how to adapt our didactics? how to adapt our learning environments and their management?
    • Mitigation of climate change – the significance of real estate/property education for decarbonization
    • Individual and organizational “anti-fragility” – education in the age of crises
    • Emerging topics in real estate/property education

        Please submit your ideas for:

        • Short presentations (15 – 20 minutes): E.g., abstracts of research findings or case studies
        • Panel contributions: Short expressions of interest in organising or participating in panel discussions

          • Closing date for submissions: 4 November 2024
          • Notification of acceptance: 18 November 2024

          Venues and hotel recommendations:

          • The seminar will take place in the Prechtlsaal of Vienna University of Technology, Karlsplatz 13, 1040 Vienna, Austria.
          • An evening reception on 6 December in the former trotting track will also provide an opportunity for informal networking and exchange.

          Fees and registration:

          • Participation fee on site: € 60 

          • Participation for members of TU Vienna: € 30
            (includes participation in the ERES seminar, coffee breaks and lunch)
